The municipality of Jávea has more than 20 km of coastline, so it has the largest variety of beaches and coves in the province of Alicante.
In its coast we can find four ends: Cape San Antonio, to the north, which separates Dénia. Further south are Cap Prim, Cap Negre and Cap de la Nau. All with impressive cliffs and wonderful views.
When having such a steep coast it has dozens of beautiful coves; while the most accessible and flat beaches are between the port and Cap Prim, which form the bay.
The sea is usually transparent, with a very good water quality. Diving for your funds is a delight. We will list the ones we consider essential to visit.
Primer Muntanyar
If you love water sports, this is your place. Unlike the other beaches of Jávea, this stretch of coastline is open so it is exposed to fantastic winds, creating perfect conditions for lovers of kitesurfing and windsurfing. Just 300 meters from the port during the summer months you can practice sports such as paddle surfing, kayaking and jet skis that you can rent there.
Cala Sardinera
Known as Cala Sardinera because it was one of the best places to fish sardines with the traditional “sardinales” (fine nets) that were released twice a day: one at dawn and another at sunset. Nevertheless it is one of the most virgin coves of Jávea, with a shore covered with gravel and pebbles. Located on the north side of Cap Prim and Sant Martí, it can be reached on foot from the Mirador de la Cruz del Portitxol by a path that crosses through a beautiful natural landscape.
This beach is also a quiet and pleasant stretch that offers excellent opportunities for snorkeling and swimming.

Portitxol
It is located between Cap Prim and Cap Negre. It overlooks the island of Portitxol, about 300 meters from the coast. Its crystal clear waters make this place one of the best beaches in Jávea for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Cala La Granadella
This beach is known for being “the best in all of Spain”.
Awarded the Blue Flag for its excellent water quality and a picturesque horseshoe-shaped nirvana. The mountains that surround them form a natural landscape of great beauty and their caves and forests cry out to be explored. The beach is very popular and therefore very popular in summer. With only 160 meters in length, we recommend you arrive early.
